Judith became involved with TLC Volunteers Maitland Inc back in 1997 when the service was then known as Respite Volunteers for Palliative Care Maitland Inc.
Judith has always been involved in her community whether through the school systems when her children were young and at school or as a volunteer in community groups such as Meals on Wheels, Neighbourhood Centre and Hospital settings all around Australia. Judith learned at an early age the hard work and emotional toll being a carer is with her parents' ill health. Judith began her association with TLC Volunteers Maitland completing the fantastic 7 week accredited education course and then taking these new skills into the Medical ward of the Maitland Hospital as a volunteer.
During the following 10 years Judith completed further studies in Social Sciences and Herbal Therapies which she enjoys being able to practice in her work and personal environments. At present, Judith enjoys being the Assistant Coordinator, Office secretary, and Coordinator for the new bereavement support training for a group of our volunteers who have elected to undertake this up in the coming weeks.
Outside of work, family, music, friends and learning new ways to enjoy our beautiful environment fill Judith's life.
